Sherwin was first founded in 1973  by frank and jean treanor the name Sherwin was taken from the saint'  Sir Ralph Sherwin

We first started out as a football club with having one team  then it grew to 19 teams as the years went on. Then we build a the club and the sports hall for the many teams to train.

The sherwin club was then officially opened on the 25th April 1985 by  the right honourable  Margret Beckett. The club was then rename Sherwin Club. with soccer teams using the club has their home base.

We then became an organisation for communities with sporting interests, leisure and  social events .

The Sherwin club is a members club  ran by Committee members, volunteers and trustees
