I create trees because nature is calming to me. I create them to express my mood in the colorful, or absence of color that I add to them. Although I have lived in southwest FL for some time, I grew up on 5 acres of undeveloped forest in upstate N.Y., and could usually be found amidst the wilderness, up in a tree, reading a book and waiting to scare my little brother when he came by. Living in FL is a big change, and I started out just wanting to recreate the peacefulness of my childhood, but in the air-conditioning.
